CHATEAU DE MOISSAC
A closely guarded secret.Set above a hill-top village in the Upper Var, a sanctuary for fans of old stones, the Château de Moissac-Bellevue was, in the early 17th century, a country retreat for a noble Provençal family. Revelling in its exemplary, prize-winning restoration, it surveys the valley where rolling countryside with vines and olive-trees stretches as far as the eye can see. Sobre, patrimonial, unique, with its monumental entrance hall, vast drawing-rooms and dining-rooms opening out to the gardens, its imposing kitchen, its bedrooms and boudoir-bathrooms rising up to the attics, the Château personifies a harmonious art of living in the sunlight of Provence.
Situated in Upper Provence, the Château de Moissac extends a warm welcome to photographers and stylists.
Photo sessions for advertising, fashion, interior decor. Launches of products and collections. Catalogue shoots, workshops…
And hire the château for private receptions and weddings, seminars and professional events.
MAISON LOUIS MARIE
As a young girl, Marie du Petit Thouars grew up in Belgium making candles and experimenting with scents in her mother’s green house. With the creation of Maison Louis Marie, she has built upon the rich botanical history of her family with luxury candles and perfumes that focus on illustrious scents imbued with unique floral fragrances.
My favorite scent is the Eau de Parfum No. 4 Bois de Balincourt. It is a a sandalwood fragrance scent with a dominant cedarwood & sandalwood accord supplemented by a spicy cinnamon nutmeg complex with an earthy vetiver note. Top Note: sandalwood, cerdarwood, mid note: vetiver, nutmeg, cinnamon, base note: amber wood. The scent is paraben, sulfate en phlatate free.
Among the honey-hued fields and moody pine forests of Ibiza’s pastoral inlands sits La Granja, an enclave of pared-down relaxation and rural simplicity.
The Dutch owner of La Granja in Ibiza wanted to do something different with his farm, one of the oldest in the island. He called Claus Sendlinger, CEO of designhotels.com, to help him create a place where people can eat, drink, stay, listen to music, do yoga, see out-door film screenings and follow workshops.
They introduced La Granja as a membership-only retreat known as Friends of a Farmer. For 200 euro per season you can enjoy their facilities, have lunch and dinner and come to all the events they are hosting.
The interesting feature on La Granja is the huge farm belonging to the property. Chef José Catrimán takes care of the menu which consists mainly out of ingredients coming from the farm
The interior of La Granja is kept in style of the island, but with beautiful modern touches done by Armin Fisher of Dreimeta. An atmosphere that makes you start to whisper because it’s so serene and beautiful. There are only a few rooms and a guesthouse if you’re staying with a larger group. All the rooms have a dark color palette, some with a rooftop terrace, others with an authentic freestanding bath tub
